Effect of Shock Absorber on Vehicle Limits
Jurka, Adam ; Blaťák, Ondřej (referee) ; Hejtmánek, Petr (advisor)
The aim of this master’s thesis is to evaluate the effect of shock absorber on vehicle limits. At the beginning of the thesis, shock absorber properties were described. Then computational model was created and manoeuvres for shock absorber behaviour were defined. Created mathematical model is based on quarter model of a car and excitation in form of road with a random profile is an essential part of the model. This model was used for evaluation of heave. After heave analysis, shock absorber behaviour during drive was investigated. Drive conditions were defined as set of handling manoeuvres. For the drive investigation, complete multibody virtual model of racing car was used. Based on drive investigation analysis, optimal damping characteristics for each manoeuvre were found. Furthermore, each optimal characteristic was compared for different manoeuvres. Obtained results were compared. As a conclusion, compromise damping characteristic was suggested with the aim to fit the combination of all defined drive conditions. Final part of the thesis was aimed at validation of the computational model. Data measured during real drive were used as an input for this validation.
Vibration damper development and innovation of a laboratory stand
Filipi, Jaroslav ; Mazůrek, Ivan (referee) ; Nevrlý, Josef (advisor)
Bachelor work deals with description and functionality of vibration dampers. Since the vibration dampers is a wealth of species, work is focusing on the dampers used in cars known as shock absorbers suspension. I have described conventional shock absorbers suspension and modern shock absorbers suspension. Furthermore, I described active chassis. High-quality equipment is very important for the future development of dampers. I propose possible ways of innovation existing laboratory stand.
Springing and Damping of Truck Cabin
Kroupa, Ondřej ; Vančura, Jan (referee) ; Blaťák, Ondřej (advisor)
This Diploma Theses, which can be included in the field of vehicle dynamics, explores the effect of suspension and damping of truck cabs for the safe ride and comfort. As the driver spends many hours in their vehicle, comfort is the most essential criterion. That is why we seek possible improvements which are offered by the sprung cab. The research part firstly analyses the individual elements of suspension and damping. The following chapter is devoted to the systems which are used nowadays in the construction of cabin suspension. Next there is the introduction to the theoretical production of a simplified computational model as well as the presentation of the possible evaluation of the achieved results. The following practical part deals with the actual shaping of the computational model in the Adams View software, which is based on a real vehicle, and was lent at the faculty. The model is then verified and compared with the existing state and the cab mounting concepts are tested on it. The effects of cab parameters on driving comfort and safe riding were tested on it as well. The last part focuses on the forming of the special Dakar computational model, on which optimization was performed according to the findings discussed in the previous chapter. Also, the appropriate configurations to the real-life testing were designed.
Motor vehicle wheel suspension
Martínek, Tomáš ; Ambróz, Richard (referee) ; Laurinec, Marián (advisor)
This thesis deals with overview of different types of motor vehicle wheel suspension. Their characteristics, advantages and disadvantages are described along with several structural designs. Basic construction principles of commonly used shock absorbers are also presented.
Design of mechatronic system with electromagnetic damper for presentation of oscillation
Borek, Dušan ; Lošák, Petr (referee) ; Hadaš, Zdeněk (advisor)
This thesis deals with design of mechatronic system with electromagnetic damping to control the oscillator with single degree of freedom. Final system should present the immediate effects of the excitation and damping of the basic dynamic system.
Optimization of the existing construction of magnetorheological clutch
Bedřich, Miroslav ; Růžička, Bronislav (referee) ; Roupec, Jakub (advisor)
This work deals with the reconstruction of magnetorheological (MR) clutch. The extensive research on the use of magnetorheological technology in practice was developed in the first part. The function of MR dampers, MR brakes and MR clutches were described. Some parameters of MR clutches were listed and compared. The second part concentrates on construction modifications to improve some parameters of MR clutch. The experiments verifying improvement of operating parameters of MR clutch were carried out in the third part.
Measurement of the length and volume stiffness of steel bellows
Valík, Michal ; Roupec, Jakub (referee) ; Mazůrek, Ivan (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with the experimental measurement of the length and volumetric stiffness of steel bellows. The first part is dedicated to the analysis of the utilisation of metal bellows connected to the mentioned theme. This part also deals with the actual knowledge of metal bellow’s stiffness characteristics. The second part contains descriptions of selected methods of the measurement process. The last part of this work focuses on the evaluation and analysis of measured data in order to gain the results of the length and volumetric stiffness of metal bellows.
On-road Diagnostic of Vehicle Damper
Vaněk, Vojtěch ; Hejtmánek, Petr (referee) ; Blaťák, Ondřej (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the analysis of the effects of shock absorber wear on the driving dynamics of the vehicle. Furthermore, a quarter model of the car was created in the Simulink software, where a procedure for evaluating the condition of the shock absorber while driving the vehicle was created. This procedure was subsequently validated on real measured data from the Hummer H3 car.
Active systems of car chassis
Pilčík, Adam ; Drápal, Lubomír (referee) ; Drápal, Lubomír (referee) ; Zháňal, Lubor (advisor)
This work elaboration basic survey and historical development active systems pf car chassis. Focus on modern conception and try valorize positive and negative single solving. Focus on modern conception and try valorize print and negative single solving.
Overhead Line Protection against Climatic Effects
Sýkora, Martin ; Topolánek, David (referee) ; Orságová, Jaroslava (advisor)
The outdoor overhead lines are influenced by additional load pressure of wind and frost. These can have adverse reaction on outdoor conduction of the electric power. My bachelors' report deals with separate climatic effects and possibilities of their resolution. It it also concentrates on removing the negative influences caused particularly by wind and on the possibilities of liquidation of the frost that had already originated.
